Greek Yumcha @Opah Restaurant, Cronulla

A friend and I went on a Greek Yumcha experience at the Opha restaurant in Cronulla Beach.
The restaurant is located on the second floor of the white building right near the beach, I think the structure of the building is somewhat resembles Greek Island houses, uh...white stairs on a white building?

As we walked in, we were greeted by friendly waitress who welcomed us warmly. On the wall there is a huge picture of Greek Island's landscape which contributes to the charming decor. The restaurant is spacious, open and airy. It's a beautiful day outside so we decided seat under the sun in the Balcony area.

We started our lunch with ordering a couple of cocktails, Pacific Pash and Espresso Martini.
The Pacific Pash is sweet tasting cocktail, made with fresh lime, lychee, passion fruit, peach schnapps and vodka shaken on ice. My friend really enjoyed this icy and fruity Cocktail.

I went for something more bitter/sweet tasting drink. Espresso Martini is made with Espresso coffee; white chocolate liquor, Kahlua and vanilla vodka shaken on ice. This drink is one of favorite drink of mine and this one didn't disappoint. The cocktail had strong espresso taste and although it has a lot of alcohols it was well mixed drink. I enjoyed every sip of this, leaving me pretty happily tipsy.

Our Yumcha course begun, we started with a traditional Greek Salad and a basket of fresh flat breads with trio of Tzatiziki, Hommus and Fishroe dips; Bread was fresh, Salad was crunch and refreshing and the dips had strong and appetizing flavors.

Next we had fried Calamari and Haloumi. Calamari was so tasty it was very lightly battered with rice powder and cooked to perfection. The accompanied Aioli went really beautifully with Calamari. I also enjoyed fried Haloumi; it was not so salty and had a nice texture.

The waitress brought a few more little dishes after, which were fried wedged potatoes, triangle ricotta filo, Greek style lasagna, meat balls. As I am a Pollo-Pescitarian, I left all the meat dishes to my friend to taste. She enjoyed all the dishes, although she wanted a little more sauce on the lasagna.

I am not a big potato person but I did like the wedged potato with aioli sauce, it was soft inside and crusty skin was seasoned well.
Tiropites (mini ricotta filos) has a slightly sweet taste; I liked it but I think perhaps it's a good dish to have it at the end of the meal.

The meat dish came, again this was eaten by my friend and although she enjoyed most of the meat components, her favorite was the16-hour Spit roast lamb. She mentioned it was cooked incredibly tender and juicy.

I had Chicken Souvlaki and garlic prawns. Chicken was tender and seasoned well; garlic prawns with rice noodle were tasty and with fantastic texture. However by this point we were so extremely full...

We ordered two more cocktails, Classic Mojito and Cabrioska. Another great cocktails, refreshing and delicious!

We finished our lunch with an Espresso with small serving of Greek Sweets; Caramel Popcorn, Bklava and Galaktoboureko (custard filo pastry). I like Galaktoboureko, it's kind of has the bread butter pudding texture and it's not overly sweet.

I think this restaurant offers incredible value at $45pp for All You Can Eat Greek Yumcha, I absolutely enjoyed each dish that came out. Cocktails were well made and really delicious, service was genuinely friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend this restaurant, I think it's a great place to hang out to eat, drink and enjoy life!
