The friendly restaurant staffs let us wait whilst they are having their early dinner. Around 6pm people were starting to come in and around 630 the place was technically full. The restaurant's interior is rather humble yet quaint, the location in the rocks contributes to the charm.
We
were given free complimentary drinks. I requested warm Sake and my husband
requested sparkling water which we were told that it is not part of the deal
(but every other drink is!) so requested two warm Sake as our free drinks.
It tasted okay although I didn't feel much alcohol from it.

We ordered Sashimi Salad, Vegetable Kyoja, Spinach salad, grilled eggplants,
mixed sashimi platter and chicken Katzu with rice.
The
sashimi salad was good, sashimi was fresh and the dressing was tangy which
accompanied well with the salad, the squirt of orange juice added a touch of sweetness that I thought was unusually refreshing.
Vegetable
kyoja was also delicious and didn't taste bland.
Chicken katsu was good, it was nice and crunch outside and cooked well.
Unfortunately spinach salad with salmon was a little bit unpalatable. It was over killed with sauce that made it simply too sweet.
This dish would have been beautiful if the servings were smaller and with sauces on the side.
As a last note, if you find yourself at the Rocks and wanting a quick healthy Japanese meal that isn't heavy on the pocket. Then this is a good place.
I recommend you start with sashimi salad, grilled egg plant then go from there.
